Bio.: Zhibin He is IAA Member and serves as Deputy Director of Department of Science and Technology of Hainan Province. He was involved in the research and development of “Two Bombs, One Satellite”, an early nuclear and space project of China, and was awarded first- and second-class merit citations.

Xingyun Kun Major General
Commander of the People’s Liberation Army Astronaut Corps (PLAAC)
Bio.: Xingyun Shen served as the first commander of the PLAAC, responsible for the selection of the first 14 Chinese astronauts, later forming Chinese Group 1, and the establishment of the PLAAC. Since 1996, Kun has been the leader of the PLACC and worker there for 13 years. Group 1 astronauts, including Yang Liwei and Zhai Zhigang, were under his lead. Over the years, Chinese scientists created a tradition of relentless hard work under extreme and arduous conditions to solve critical problems and achieve successes.From 2003 to 2008, Shenzhou-5, 6, and 7, also developed independently by China, completed a series of manned scientific experiments in space, under the lead of Commander Kun and his team.Chinese taikonauts Yang Liwei and Zhai Zhigang received the title of “Space Hero”, while Fei Junlong, Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming and Jing Haipeng received the title of “Hero Astronaut” by the CPC Central Committee, the State Council and the CMC. In October 2003, the PLAAC was granted the title of “the Corps of Hero Astronauts”. Commander Kun had also visited Russia, Hong Kong and Macao as a member of Chinese Group 1.
Rusen Tian Research Fellow
President of Space Exploration
Bio.: Rusen Tian is a researcher fellow, chief expert of national space science popularization and an advisor of Chinese Society of Astronautics (CSA). He was the former president and editor-in-chief of Space Exploration, a Chinese monthly magazine launched in 1981 by CSA. Currently Tian serves as deputy director of the Advisory Unit for Aerospace of Talent Development and Exchange Center of Guojie Academy, space artist and senior popularizers of science.
Caiying Wei Research Fellow (Level II)
National Satellite Meteorological Centre (NSMC)
Bio.: Caiying Wei, NSMC researcher, is a leader of the high-level scientific and technological innovation talent program of China Meteorological Administration and the chief director of Fengyun-2 and Fengyun-4, China’s weather satellites, appointed by the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence, China. At present, he is appointed the chief director of Feng Yun-4 optical and microwave satellite.

Jing Cao Senior Engineer
Expert in science communication of satellite meteorology
Bio.: Cao’s research interests include satellite remote sensing and high-tech communication of space satellites. She currently serves as a member of National Technical Committee 347 on Satellite Meteorology and Space Weather Monitoring of Standardization Administration of China, a member of Chinese Meteorological Science Committee, an executive director of Chinese Women Scientists Association, and the president of Guangzhou Women Science & Technology Fellowship.
She has been involved in various national-level projects, and received many honors, including Science and Technology Award supported by China Meteorological Administration, Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award, Advanced Individual, Leader of Guangdong Science and Technology Innovation, as well as Guangdong Bearer of Red Flag March 8.
She is a recipient being awarded “Social Service Award”, which is a national-level award established by Chinese Women Scientists Association, and was awarded by the Ministry of Science and Technology, China, for visiting communities to give talks on popular science. Due to her contribution, she became the “First Guangzhou Outstanding Person of Science Popularization Innovation” and “Guangzhou Love Ambassador for Science Popularization”.
In addition, she has established many popular science bases, including “Satellite Science Museum”, “Space Weather Museum”, “Fengyun Satellite Museum” and the first “Science Popularization Education Base” in Guangzhou. Her books and videos were recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, and were remarked as the Top 100 Science Works for many times.
Wang Lv Research Fellow
CTO of Shanghai Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd.
Bio.: Lyu, an expert in satellites, has long been involved in the research and development of Mars probes, including Fengyun-3, Gaofen-5, Fengyun-4 and Tianwen-1. He has presided over many national-level scientific research projects such as civil aerospace pre-research.
He was awarded two second prizes for scientific and technological inventions in Shanghai (one for the first completer), two prizes for excellent inventions in Shanghai, and one special prize for scientific and technological progress in national defense. He is selected as a young talent for Shanghai industry, and was granted funding for the development of talents.
Currently, he holds 38 authorized patents (15 of which were issued to him as first inventor), and published more than 20 academic papers, eight of which were delivered as first author, with two papers being included in SCI journals and another two in EI journals. Besides, he also serves as a reviewer for several journals, including National Remote Sensing Bulletin and Acta Astronomica Sinica.
